     WE'RE HIRING

Directory Photos

It's time for a new church directory! Member Connections is working with Universal Church Directories to put together a new directory. We need you to sign up for a photography time slot and get your picture taken! You can do this by going to the website (ucdir.com) and clicking on the "Photography Appointment Scheduling Login." Then, you need to enter the church code: il244 and the password: photos. Next, you'll pick a time slot that works best in your schedule to get your picture taken. The dates for photography sessions are September 20, 21, & 30 from 2:00 pm - 8:30 pm and October 1 from 9:30 am-4:30pm.

All God's Critters Practice Joy

Rescheduled!

Even in the best of times, there are a thousand ordinary things that can distract us from the joy we find in God's presence. Come spend a fun summer evening Practicing Joy through art projects, taking a Joy Walk, playing games, singing songs, and taking time for prayer. All activities will be outside on the patio and the playground area at FUPC

  • For families with children in grade 5 & Younger
  • Rescheduled to Sunday, August 21
  • 4:00 - 6:00 pm
  • RSVP by Thursday, August 18, to Stephanie Foltz
  • Optional BYOE Picnic, 6:00 - 6:30 pm
  • Click here for more information.

Get Ready! Get Set! Worship!

Families with children in grades K-5 are invited to pick a Sunday to participate in a session to explore worship at FUPC. Through games, songs, crafts, and other hands-on activities, leaders will equip children and the adults in their lives to become more active worshippers!

  • Choose one session to attend either on Sunday, August 14, or Sunday, August 28
  • 9:30-10:45 am in Eversull Hall
  • RSVP to Stephanie Foltz the Wednesday before each session to ensure there will be enough supplies.

Summer Sack Lunch Program

We are again answering the call to “feed the hungry” by providing nutritious lunches for children at risk of hunger in our community. For ten weeks, we will prepare and deliver 160 lunches every Friday to fourteen delivery sites located close to our public schools. Lunch deliveries begin on June 10 and continue through August 12. Help prepare lunches on Thursday evenings from 6:00 - 7:00 pm beginning on Thursday, June 9. Please use the Royal Heights Road Chapel door if you plan to help. Once again, we’ll be working together in Eversull Hall.  Grocery shoppers are needed to pick up lunchmeat, buns, and fresh fruit. Donations of money, toothbrushes, and toothpaste are also helpful. Contact Nancy KreebAbby Smith, or Tina Thornberry, if you have questions.

Mound Ridge Mission Trip

The Adult Mission Trip will again be to Mound Ridge Retreat Center in Cook Station, Missouri from September 18 - September 24. Mound Ridge is about a two hour drive from our church, close enough that you may come for a day if you don’t feel you can stay the whole time. We plan to carpool leaving Sunday afternoon and return the following Saturday. There will be no cost to you other than personal expenses for an evening’s outing. Project details will follow on a later date. On Saturday, September 24, we are planning a one-day Church-Wide Mission Trip to Mound Ridge and will join the Adult Mission group to help with their projects. All skill levels are welcome! If you might be interested, please save these dates on your calendar and talk to Jim Nicholas or Andy Morgan.

Cards & Connection

On Sunday, September 18th we will gather in Eversull Hall from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm for cards and connection. This is an opportunity for fellowship and perhaps for you to teach folks your favorite card game! Everyone is welcome!
